In this program, we explored and reflected on how we rate our internal state in relation to the world around us. We discussed how our unique experiences, age and culture contribute to our outlook on life, and how that in turn affects our internal mental health and well-being.  Speakers:

Jennifer MJennifer Muth has been teaching psychology at Old Dominion University located in Norfolk, Virginia, for nearly 25 years and has served as a full-time faculty member for nearly 20 years, teaching Social Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Positive Psychology. Muth has experimented with incorporating various High-Impact Practices into her teaching practice. Along with teaching year round at ODU, Muth has facilitated two study abroad trips to Rome, Italy, engaged in a four-faculty psychology learning community, implemented ePortfolio projects into large enrollment online courses, and actively collaborate with the LeADERS team to engage students in these activities. Muth recently completed the Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate to keep current with best practices in online teaching. 
 

Sameer SSameer Shah, an accomplished legal professional and visionary hailing from India, and is currently expanding his expertise in the United States. With an extensive 28-year legal practice, Shah's impressive expertise extends across diverse domains including arbitration, mediation, maritime law, commercial disputes, and more.

Shah is the founder of S.U. Shah & Associates, a dynamic law firm based in Ahmedabad, India. He also serves as the Director of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) India Branch, the founder of ADR BAR, and a Co-Founder of Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners (ENRAP) India Chapter. Shah's dedication to mediation development is evident through his role as a Faculty/Trainer for Mediation at IM Campus, Germany. His impact is both local and global, with associates across India and collaborations in countries including Bangladesh, Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, London, Shanghai, Turkey and Vietnam.
