We are proud to announce our latest successful event. People of all races came together for our The “State of Our Country” event. Experts shared unique viewpoints and stand together during these difficult times. It was an open-forum even with five experts on topics like:
• World Politics
It was an atmosphere of unity and discussion. At the same time participants were not afraid to ask the hard questions. These included the state of terrorism today and economic situations for undocumented citizens. The tone of the discussion made it clear that we are facing difficult times. It also showed everyone that we must work together to prosper.
The meeting took place on February 7th at 7 P.M. Organizers held it in the Phillis Wheatley Community Center. The audience also engaged in spirited discussion on our country as well. It was a night of thought and commentary topped off by hugs and handshakes.
Live streams and media coverage led to a successful meeting. Both the Atlantic Institute and the Phillis Wheatley Association grow through these meetups. We hope that you are able to attend the next meeting.
